Club Red Announces Initial Shows for Winter 2017
Beyond The Groove to Host The Motet, Jackie Greene and Anders Osborne and Devendra Barnhart, with More Acts to be Announced
TELLURIDE, Colorado (November 28, 2016) – Beyond the Groove, Telluride’s premier entertainment and music production company, recently announced its initial shows for Winter 2017, with a diverse set of performers sure to please crowds in Mountain Village.
Two Nights of Music at Club Red
On Thursday, January 12th, The Motet will take the stage at Club Red to kick off a two night party of live music. A Denver-based funk band with a fresh, soulful style, The Motet is famous for putting on energetic live shows in iconic venues across the country. They have seven studio albums including the recently released Totem, but they’re best known for putting on infectious dance parties in Colorado and beyond. The following evening, Friday, January 13th, Club Red will host An Acoustic Evening with Jackie Greene and Anders Osborne.
During this seated, acoustic show, Jackie Greene will charm guests with his persuasive voice, vivid songwriting skills and instinctive mastery of several instruments. Whereas Anders Osborne, a longtime Telluride favorite and resident Telluride Blues and Brews performer will absorb the audience in his musical storytelling. Tickets for both all-ages show range from $25 - $35 for The Motet and $35 - $55 for Jackie Green and Anders Osborne. Tickets can be purchased online through ClubRedTelluride.com or at Wizard Framing and Entertainment, located at 126 E. Colorado Avenue in Telluride. Doors for both shows will open at 7:30 p.m.
Club Red is the perfect setting to welcome Devendra Banhart, a Venezuelan-American singer-songwriter and visual artist whose music is described as Psychedelic Folk and New Weird America. SPIN Magazine said Banhart’s albums offer “ashram-appropriate guitar strums” and “trippy-hippie tone poetry.” Banhart is a true artist, with beautiful, seductive and enchanting music.
Tickets for this all ages show start at $25 for general admission, with preferred, high-table seating seats for $35 and premium reserved seating tickets available for $45, and are available through ClubRedTelluride.com or in person at Wizard Framing and Entertainment. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m.
Club Red, located at the Telluride Conference Center features plush décor, ambient lighting, and intimate proximity between guests and artists to create an exclusive guest experience reminiscent of speakeasies and ‘30s era Jazz clubs. It was recently named on of ski country’s best concert venues by Skiing Magazine and is a notable part of the Mountain Village and Telluride experience.
These three initial shows mark quite the kick-off for Club Red this season, as Beyond the Groove aims to bring diverse, crowd pleasing entertainers to Mountain Village to complement everyone’s musical tastes.
