An often overlooked aspect of skiing as we get older is the constant opportunity to advance skills and perfect technique. Ski school isn’t just for beginners, but provides an opportunity for skiers of all levels to push their skiing to the next level or tweak technique to increase endurance while on the mountain. Telluride’s Ski School program is one of the best in the world with women and men averaging 12 seasons of experience providing uniform and thorough instruction throughout your training. Our instructors are prepared to both teach and entertain during your time together and our specialty camps provide skiers and snowboarders of all levels with the knowledge and expertise to perfect their technique and perfect their passion.
Women’s Ski & Wellness Week
A camp designed by women, for women, Telluride’s Women’s Ski Week is in its 35th year this year, making it the longest running women-focused clinic in North America. With some of the top female instructors in the world on the team in Telluride, you’ll receive expert instruction and analysis while exploring the mountain with the women that know it best. In addition, you’ll participate in wellness workshops to keep your mind and body in shape to optimize your skiing abilities.

The beautiful San Juan Mountains surrounding Telluride offer some of the most incredible views and diverse terrain for skiing on the planet. Making Friends with Moguls
Bumps have a long history of being intimidating. But as one of the best workouts on the slopes, moguls should absolutely be your friends. The two-day Making Friends with Moguls camp targets mature, intermediate skiers that love to ski groomed runs but chose to avoid moguls. Our goal is to help you to develop the confidence and technical skills necessary to ski moguls more effectively. Throughout these camps, you will learn how to incorporate the core principals of stance, steering, edging, and pressure into your skiing to effectively conquer great mogul runs.

Ski Biomechanics Camp
Dr. Kim Hewson is a local to Telluride, Orthopedic Surgeon, former Director of Sports Medicine at the University of Arizona, and a lead Telluride Ski School Instructor and has developed a program to improve the quality of ski school instruction. Through a scientific-based biomechanics approach, the instruction can help focus on efficient skiing through natural, functional alignment. As the first biomechanics camp at any ski school, Telluride’s Biomechanics Camp features video analysis, in-classroom learning, and on-snow application.
