Another 4 inches overnight bringing the 7 day snow total to 20 inches. With the new snow, Polar Queen (Lift 5) will open Tuesday December 4th. The majority of the trails will open including Polar Queen and Stormin' Norman. Bon Vivant restaurant is set to open Saturday December 8th. For additional terrain updates download our app.

With a couple more inches on closing weekend, everyone enjoyed soft spring conditions, the annual pond skim, live music and a lot of fun resort wide. Thank you for an amazing season, we'll see you next year!

A surprise 3" fell overnight, making for a soft start to Tuesday morning. Closing Day is this weekend, see our events calendar for the full schedule of closing festivities taking place on the mountain at Gorrono Ranch and in Mountain Village. 

March 23, 2018

Heavy snow started falling just before sunrise and 6" piled up before Noon. Strong winds caused some lifts to close early and piled deep snow into favored slopes, trees and gullies setting us up for a fantastic weekend.

On March 15th we woke up to 2" with another 2" falling in the day. Another 4" fell by the morning of March 16th, making a storm total of 8" so far and 6" in 24 hours. Get out and enjoy the soft conditions resort wide.

5" of fresh snow made for soft corduroy and powdery bumps. The cold temps kept the snow light and fluffy all day. The spectacular views and soft snow on Milk Run was incredible.

Another 2" overnight has brought our February snow total to 60" so far! And it's still snowing!!

9" in the past 24 hours leaves us with an 11" Storm Total out of this one. The wind with this storm has loaded powder into many of the gullies. Have fun in the deep stuff today. With a forecast like this it's definitely time to plan your next trip...

1 pm update: The new snow has opened new terrain! Runs off of Gold Hill are now open for the season including Electra, Dynamo, Millions and Little Rose.

Another inch fell overnight and it looks like snow will continue all day and into the night.

3:30pm Update: Today has been a "signature" Telluride day with soft snow and bluebird skies! Enjoy it while it lasts... the National Weather Service has issued a  WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY from 3AM Monday to 6AM MST Tuesday...

7am Update: It’s a POWDER DAY!! We’ve had a storm total of 11” since Noon yesterday and 23" in the past 5 days .

Snow started on Saturday around Noon and came down hard. Ski Patrol reported 5” new as of 4pm when the lifts closed yesterday and we received an additional 6” overnight.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY remains in effect until 11 PM MST this evening... Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches, with localized amounts over 1 foot, are expected.

1 pm update: 12" in the last 12 hours with blue skies and scattered snow showers.

It's a sunny, blue sky day in Telluride. 7" in the last 24 hours brings the storm total to 17" in 48 hours. 

Over 40" in the past two weeks has allowed patrol to open significant new terrain including Plunge, Bushwacker, Mammoth, Peek-A-Boo, Henry's, Spiral Stairs & more. View the full report here.

The resort received 7" overnight as of 5am and Ski Patrol reported a total of 10" in 24 hours in their 7AM report. Conditions are soft, new terrain is opening & it's been snowing all morning. OPENSNOW is forecasting an additional 3-6" to fall throughout the day.

2" in the past 24 hours puts us over 2 feet of snow this week. And, as a treat Ski Patrol has dropped the ropes on a LIFT 9 TERRAIN PREVIEW . This means we're skiing the legendary terrain off Lift 9 for a limited time, maybe only 1 day, or 2 max. Then Patrol will close the terrain and we'll evaluate it's future opening.

2 inches fell overnight with another 2 inches in the early morning making 4 inches of snow by 8 am. The bulk of the storm is projected to come later in the day and into the night of 1/10/18.

... WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING ... Heavy snow possible. Plan on difficult travel conditions during the evening commute on Wednesday. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches, with localized amounts possibly reaching up to 2 feet, are possible.

March 29, 2017

Another 5 inches fell overnight, updating our snow totals to 44 inches in seven days. This has been the snowiest ski season since 2007-2008, with a whopping 308 inches! More snow is on the way, with an extended winter weather advisory in effect until 3pm today. Happy powder week!

And it just keeps coming! Another 7 inches fell overnight, making a total of 39 inches in the last seven days. We're just days away from closing day now, so get out and enjoy the spring snow while you can!

Telluride and the surrounding area remain under a winter weather advisory until noon tomorrow, 3/29.

Surprise! 12 inches of snow fell overnight! That brings our storm total to 32 inches in seven days and nearly 25 feet of snow this season. Now, with Closing Day approaching, we have great snow and unprecedented spring skiing conditions. More snow on the way this week to send us over the 300" mark for the ski season! We will see you throughout the week for even more powder turns!

2 PM: Our Ski Patrol has estimated that another 6" or so has fallen since 9 AM, talk about Fat Tuesday indulgences: 

9 AM: 6” has fallen since our initial report bringing our 24 hour total to 14”. Lifts 12 through 14 are on delay for snow work and Lift 15 will be closed for the day as our crews work to clear avalanche danger and clear snow from the lift area. Stay tuned for more updates throughout the day.

6 AM: Telluride woke up to 8“ in the last 24 hours with snow forecasted to fall throughout the day today. Happy powder day!

9:00 AM: Telluride is under a Winter Storm Warning starting now through midnight tomorrow night, Tuesday, February 28th. Stay tuned right here for storm totals and snow updates.

6:00 AM: Having woken up to 2" yesterday morning and enjoying consistent snowfall throughout the day, we're seeing 8" around the mountain with a 48 hour total of 10" and more snow falling throughout the day today. This brings the Telluride season snow total to 231" after the second snowiest January on record with 95" and March ahead to look forward to.

Merry Christmas!

8:00 AM: Patrol's storm observations put our over night snow total at 11"! Nearly a foot of fresh snow to ski today with snow still falling. Lifts 11 through 15 are on delay presently due to snow mitigation after heavy winds throughout the day yesterday. Stay tuned for more information!

6:00 AM: Woke up to a bluebird day. 31" storm total, 10" of wich fell in the last 24 hours. Apex Lift (Lift 6) opens today with terrain from Sully's all the way to Happy Thought! Have fun out there!

1:00 PM: Winter Storm Warning extended through 4 pm today. It's still coming down out there and people are loving the fresh snow. 

8:45 AM: 3" since the morning report. We'll open today with 17" in the last 24 hours. 24" storm total & continuing. Lift 10 is now open! Plus new terrain on Lift 5. Expect more lift & terrain announcements in the coming days.

6 AM: 11" overnight. 14" in 24 hours. 22" storm total. 78" on the season! Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 AM!

We woke up to 7" over night and the snow continued to fall all day long. Winter Storm Warning in effect until 11:00 am MST tomorrow, Saturday, December 17th. With the Holiday Prelude taking place all day tomorrow, get out and get in the holiday spirit with a wintery white holiday celebration.

It’s official! Telluride Ski Resort will be opening on Friday, December 2nd. With recent snowfall and cold temperatures hitting the region, Telluride has been able to build a 14” base due to natural snow and our snowmaking operations over the past few weeks.
