Colorado enjoys 300+ days of sunshine, much of it in winter. Telluride basks in bluebird days and warm sunshine. With a variety of dining options with outdoor seating to soak in the sun and enjoy spectacular views, Telluride has an added perk to a typical ski day—the food.
Join us for a lunch to remember at the top of the Polar Queen Express (Lift 5), with breathtaking views of Palmyra and the Wilson Range. The menu, by “Telluride Top Chef” Jared Campbell, is a mixture of classical French country cuisine and his own contemporary creations. This outdoor-only restaurant features an extensive all-French wine list and savory classics such as French Onion Soup, and Wild Boar & Duck Cassoulet.
This local’s favorite at the top of Plunge Lift (Lift 9) features New Orleans-inspired fare, and views that extend all the way to Utah. Grab a beer from Telluride Brewing Company or SweetWater Brewing, a Po’ Boy or a muffaletta and soak up the sunshine. Giuseppe’s also offers a kid’s menu as well as soups (have the gumbo!), pulled pork, Chuck’s Famous Chili, salads, and black bean sauté, a favorite of the locals.
Enjoy spectacular views of the Wilson Range as you indulge in an Italian-inspired menu featuring classics such as tomato gorgonzola bisque and grilled cheese, elk Bolognese and more. The extensive wine list and European feel only add to the charm of this small Italian restaurant located off of Upper See Forever.
Situated mid-mountain on the Misty Maiden run, this historic Basque sheep herding ranch, is a favorite place to enjoy mouth-watering burgers, Chuck’s Famous Chili, soups, and a variety of fresh salads. The Smokehouse offers savory barbecue and the Saloon has great cocktails and some of the best hot chocolate on the mountain. Sundays from 1-3 p.m. there’s a free beer tasting courtesy of Telluride Brewing Company and SweetWater Brewing Company.
Telluride's on mountain dining options are sure to have something everyone will love; from the experience of fine french cuisine of Alpino Vino to a BBQ and saloon style lunch of Gorrono.
