Club Red Telluride , founded in 2014, is Telluride, Colorado’s premier music venue for national touring acts. Featuring a state of the art sound system, plush décor, ambient lighting, VIP seating, and intimate proximity between guests and artists, Club Red creates an exclusive guest experience for all attendees. The winter shows kick off on Thursday, January 12th with “The Motet: Presented by Jambase.” The Motet, is a Denver-based funk band with a fresh, soulful style, famous for putting on energetic live shows in iconic venues across the country. They have seven studio albums including the recently released Totem, but they’re best known for putting on infectious dance parties in Colorado and beyond. The Motet began in 1998 in Denver, Colorado, where the band’s then-rotating cast of musicians amassed an enthusiastic and loyal throng of hometown fans. The Motet took their infectious dance parties on the road about three years ago, and their national fan base has been growing exponentially ever since. The next evening, Friday, January 13th, Club Red presents “An Evening with Jackie Greene & Anders Osborne.” It is sure to be an unforgettable night of music; a rare opportunity to see two of Telluride’s favorite artists perform intimate back-to-back acoustic sets. Jackie Greene will charm guests with his persuasive voice, vivid songwriting skills and instinctive mastery of several instruments. His style is charged and timeless, drawing inspiration from American roots and his collaborations with greats such as the Black Crowes, Phil Lesh, B.B. King and others. Telluride knows they can count on Anders Osborne, a resident Telluride Blues and Brews performer, to absorb them in seductive, danceable music. He’s among the most original and visionary musicians performing today, with richly detailed songwriting, soulful vocals and piercing, expert guitar skills. Saturday, February 4th Devendra Banhart will be live at Club Red. It’s the perfect setting for Devandra Banhart, a Venezuelan American singer-songwriter and visual artist whose music is described as Psychedelic Folk and New Weird America. SPIN magazine said Banhart’s albums offer “ashram-appropriate guitar strums, trippy-hippie tone poetry.” Banhart is a true artist, with beautiful, seductive, and enchanting music. Banhart is touring with songs from his ninth album, Ape in Pink Marble. Surrealistic soft-rock, it’s filled with whispered lyrics and gentle keyboard. On Saturday, February 18th Dwight Yoakam will be performing at Club Red. Yoakam has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide and he is a 21-time nominated, multiple Grammy Award winner. He has 12 gold albums and 9 platinum or multi-platinum albums, with five of those albums topping Billboard’s Country Albums chart, and another 14 landing in the Top 10. Nearly 40 of Yoakam’s singles have charted, with 14 peaking in the Top 10. He received the Artist of the Year award at the 2013 Americana Music Honors & Awards ceremony, the most prestigious award offered by the organization.
