Telluride is home to some of the most beautiful cross-country terrain in the United States. There are six Nordic skiing areas in the vicinity: Telluride Town Park, the Valley Floor, the Mountain Village Nordic Trails, the Top-A-Ten Nordic Trails (Lift of Lift 10 at Telluride Ski Resort), Trout Lake and Priest Lake. Each area offers different terrain, varied lengths of groomed trails, and excellent views.
The Top-A-Ten Nordic Trail system (10km) is managed and groomed by Telluride Ski Resort. View Telluride's Daily Snow Report for grooming information. To access the Top-A-Ten Nordic Trails guests can purchase a single-use lift ticket for $25 which includes one lift ride up and down via Lift 10. Tickets can be purchased from the Mountain Village Ticket Office or Big Billies Ticket Office, or follow the uphill guidelines set forth in TSG's Uphill Policy. Call the Telluride Adventure Center, (970) 728-7433, for more information.
The Mountain Village Trail System is managed and maintained by the Town of Mountain Village and is free to all users. Mountain Village grooms approximately eight miles of winter trails to create a quality surface for as many users as possible. Our winter trails accommodate skiers, hikers, snowshoers and bikers as well as dogs who are accompanied by a responsible dog owner. Follow @MV Nordic Groomer on Twitter for grooming updates. For your convenience, there are multiple access points to our winter trails. If you are driving, you may access the trails from Adams Ranch Road, 100 yards north of the intersection at Mountain Village Boulevard where there is free parking along the roadway. Or if you’re in Mountain Village Center, access is available from The Peaks Resort and The Peaks ski trail, at the top of the chondola.
The Telluride Nordic Association, through charitable donations and fundraising efforts, manages the other areas trails and posts a daily grooming report. Pets are permitted in Mountain Village, Priest Lake and Trout Lake. The Nordic Center in Telluride Town Park offers cross-country rental equipment and lessons.
