A snowboarding pioneer, Bud was a pro snowboarder from 1985-1989 before switching to coaching.
Over the course of the past 5 Winter Olympic Games Bud has worked with multiple Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal-winning Snowboard and Freeski athletes, most famously as Shaun White’s personal coach for 3 Olympics and countless X-Games. In 2006 Bud was named the US Olympic Committee’s National Coach of the Year.
He has worked with countless champions, including locals Gus Kenworthy (Telluride freeskier, Olympic Silver Medal in Slopestyle at Sochi 2014), and Lucas Foster (US Snowboarding Rookie Team), as well as backcountry rock-star Jake Blauvelt, widely considered one of the best snowboarders in the World.
Hagen Kearney is an American snowboarder who competes successfully at the international level. He competed for the US at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada, Spain, where he won a gold medal in the men's snowboard team cross, along with teammate Nick Baumgartner. He then represented the US at the 2018 Olympics at Pyongchang, South Korea, where he placed 13th overall in the Men's Snowboard Cross.
Hagen is known as an all-mountain ripper with skills for days. His passion for the sport of snow-sliding is well-known to be off-the-charts. His enthusiasm is infectious, and his riding speaks for itself.
When not crushing it on a snowboard Hagen rides Harley Davidsons, shreds in a band on electric guitar, and chills at his home of Norwood, Colorado near Telluride.

Harry is the consummate snowboarder’s snowboarder. Having experienced competitive success early on in his career, he quickly realized that his passion for riding need not be constrained by any definition.
Subsequently he has charted a path for himself that cannot be described with a word or a phrase. He mixes Big Mountain riding with Backcountry Freestyle.
He masters all terrain with a casual confidence. He competes when it suits him, and has won the Legendary Mt. Baker Banked Slalom twice – even once would be considered a lifetime achievement for any athlete.
Harry’s enthusiasm for snow-sliding is – like his brother and fellow BKPRO coach Hagen - infectious and compelling. He is a respected rider in all realms of the sports of snowboarding and freeskiing.
