NASTAR Race Camp

If you’ve ever wanted to take some runs in the NASTAR course but were worried that you didn’t know what you were doing, this is the camp for you!

Or maybe you’re a NASTAR fanatic, but you feel like you’ve hit a plateau and you can’t seem to step up to the next medal level. This camp is for you too!

Whether you’re an experienced recreational racer or someone who has never set foot in a race course, it doesn’t matter! This program is structured to meet the needs of any and all who are interested!

This program includes:

  • 2 days of lift tickets (optional)
  • Top level coaching by experienced instructors with a background in ski racing
  • Our own private course, set in a style similar to NASTAR, which we can customize to fit the needs of the group
  • EUnlimited access to the Telluride NASTAR course for timed runs during the camp

For information call the Telluride Ski School at 970-728-7414.

Who should attend the camp?

This new program is designed for skiers looking to:

Learn how to successfully and effectively navigate a NASTAR style course
Improve their skiing/times in Nastar style courses
Learn more about ski racing techniques and tactics

Participants should be comfortable with skiing at least double blue groomed terrain with some speed and navigating a race course.

What to expect

He is also an experienced race coach who has spent many seasons coaching both in the U.S. and internationally. He absolutely loves ski racing and runs gates whenever he can!

Annabelle Boelema
Annabelle has 15 seasons experience ski instructing, and has worked as a race coach both in the United States and New Zealand.  She currently works at Telluride Ski Resort as an instructor and staff trainer. Sophie Goodman
Sophie Goodman learned to ski when she was three years old and has yet to take off her skis. She grew up racing on the East Coast, and while in high school, raced for Concord Academy in the New England Prep School Athletic Conference during which the team won New England championships three years in a row. Sophie moved to Telluride after college and is a second year PSIA certified instructor.
