The towns of Telluride and Mountain Village have had a very productive off-season getting restaurants, retail, and the resort ready for a summer season full of events and activities. Yesterday, the Telluride-Mountain Village Gondola opened for the summer season allowing completely free access to both towns from 7 am until midnight every day. Take a look below for all of the restaurants, retail, and events that you should not miss while in Telluride this summer:

 

Tomboy Tavern opened yesterday, May 26th and will offer lunch and dinner specials throughout the summer from 11:30 am until 10 pm. Do not miss the incredible new selections at this Mountain Village favorite and the unforgettable loaded Bloody Mary. In addition, Siam’s Talay Grille kicked off its summer season. Located in the Inn at Lost Creek, the great restaurant will offer breakfast from 7:30 to 11 am. The bar will then open at 4 pm serving dinner in the restaurant from 5 to 9 pm.
 

A local favorite pizza parlor, Crazy Elk, will open for the summer season today and will be open daily from 11:30 am to 8 pm. During the Summer Concert Series on Wednesdays and Movies Under the Stars on Thursdays, Crazy Elk will be open later to provide all attendees with awesome food and refreshments while enjoying fantastic outdoor entertainment. "
 

Telluride’s flagship restaurant and gem at the top of the gondola, Allred’s, will open Saturday, May 28th, offering fantastic views during sunset and at night overlooking the Town of Telluride. Whether stopping into the bar at 5 pm for tapas and a drink or staying for dinner beginning at 5:30 pm, stop in to taste some of Colorado’s best dishes, cocktails, and desserts. The Peaks Resort and Spa’s on-site restaurant, Altezza is serving up breakfast, lunch, and dinner featuring Italian-inspired cuisine with Colorado-grown ingredients. With great cocktails, fresh ingredients, and a healthy, clean menu selection, the unforgettable views aren’t the only thing to enjoy at Telluride’s golf-in/golf-out resort in Mountain Village.
 

In addition to the amazing new restaurant, The Peaks Resort & Spa has gotten a face lift. The first phase of renovations to The Spa at The Peaks include a remodeled Salon, new shower floors, resurfaced Jacuzzi pools and refurbished walls and flooring. Guests and members enjoying the beautiful weather at the picturesque outdoor pool will also enjoy a new poolside menu offering a variety of libations and snacks.
 

The Spa will also be offered a revamped menu of luxury spa services aiming to integrate the elements of nature into every aspect of the guest experience. The new services will feature an exceptional array of innovative bodywork and decadent, results-driven skincare treatments. New equipment, decor, and surfaces have made the largest spa in the state of Colorado even more relaxing and enjoyable.
 

Another highlight for the summer season is the enhancement of the fitness program, offering additional yoga and cycling classes along with other group fitness opportunities to compliment traditional summer outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and boating. The fitness facility also features new cardio equipment acquired this past winter and, with the help of Director of Fitness and Wellness, Julia Gullotti, PhD, e-RYT, LMT, will continue to refresh and refine its programming to appeal to a variety of guests and their needs.
 

The Telluride Golf Club also has some new and exciting news. With a new driving range facility under construction, The Club will have a warm up area on tennis court #4 for all players convenience. Putting greens and pitching areas will also be available for your pregame needs. The on-site Pro Shop has undergone a total remodel with new furnishings and merchandise. In addition, the resort invested in a stunning new fleet of GPS-enabled golf carts.
 

During the month of June, tennis courts #1-#3 will be resurfaced and painted for play throughout the summer. Court #5 will be converted into dual pickleball courts for visitors enjoyment. All courts will be free throughout the summer season. Additionally, The Peaks welcomes Bill Austin back this summer to offer instruction in tennis and pickleball.
