Telluride is home to some of the most beautiful cross-country terrain in the United States.
There are six Nordic skiing areas in the vicinity: Telluride Town Park, the Valley Floor, the golf course in Mountain Village, the top of Chair Ten (Top-A-ten) at Telluride Ski Resort, Trout Lake and Priest Lake. Each area offers different terrain, varied lengths of groomed trails, and excellent views.
The Telluride Nordic Association, through charitable donations and fundraising efforts, manages the trails and posts a daily grooming report. Pets are permitted in Mountain Village, Priest Lake and Trout Lake. The Nordic Center in Telluride Town Park offers cross-country rental equipment and lessons.
